Foiled
Milton had waited three long years, fighting many a battle with the other peacocks for his right to be the supreme leader––the AlphaPea. Then one day a fine-art photographer came, to record his superiority in all it's transcendent glory with one of those super-ultra-mega-large format film cameras (that have, like, only 8 plates of film left in the world). He'd gotten up to full tail-fanning, resplendent display for the one and only shot that would assure his place in the annals of history and posterious exaltation. Just as the photographer pressed the shutter release ....
... a flea bit Milton in the butt.
And this is the shot they'll remember him by.
