Yes, I know it's Spring already, but this is a little commiseration for those of you who are experiencing later-than-average cold weather. We're just starting to have a bit of warmth ... yum ... :o))

Western Lowland Gorilla, one of the great apes and currently listed as "critically endangered" (and completely out of its element in this snowy scene I've made here ... ;o))

This tiny desert butterfly is called a "San Emigdio Blue" (Plebejus emigdionis) and its full wingspan is only about 1 cm at it's widest point. He was the dickens to catch (in a shot), too, because he was very active and would dash off as soon as I got near enough to catch him in macro ... ;oD
