I'M HERE TO EMPOWER YOU!
I’m an artist . . . but that’s not saying much, because I believe, and it is something that I have devoted my time heavily to convey, that art expression is an inherent property of human nature. The media may vary, but not the innate disposition.
Those that know me have heard my “talent-as-myth” diatribe all too often, and if you end up tuning in to my posts, you will encounter it soon enough. It is my goal to change the notion, which a great number of people resign to, that one needs to have “talent” to pursue the art they feel or want and am doing this on a daily basis through my program in the G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers.
With that as preface, I will probably devote a portion of my posts to inspiring artists, but I also plan to impart other conceptions that I have about life in general, with the goal of elevating, encouraging, enlivening or energizing those who read them.
Let me begin with this:
I wish for you the ability to create for yourself all that your heart desires.
Start!
➡️ fill out this form, if you’re interested in the new home for “G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers”

#Gulluminati beware!! The Sea-IA uncovered this shot of the #SeagullSubversionSect rallying troops on a secluded island off the coast. It has been surmised that they are donning #seagullbuttsindisguise costumes and preparing for some great onslaught on all #Gullarazzi.
As of this report, however, their plan of action has not been determined and we can only issue a general warning, All #SeagullButtShooters should carry on their person's at all times the following:
• Protective covering (plastic film for your camera and hats and long-sleeved shirts/jackets for your person … or an umbrella)
• Wet wipes and lens cleaners
• A female gull "in season" to release as a distraction should the troops form in earnest about your person
The latter would be an extreme action, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Including use of the following:
• Shark-Urine® Anti-Seagull spray (fortunately for you, we sell this in the 3-pack for $69.99, plus $12.99 s/h)

ReplyDelete"In season" lady gull indeed. I have attempted to trap one in a no-kill skunk snare, with awful results....although I would not hesitate to use that plan, I may have to consider other evasive tactics.....#gullswinagain #thatisnotpooitissplatter

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful atmosphere - like out of a prehistoric fairytale!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful impression!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThere is an odd twist to your take Robin Griggs Wood .
Every late spring the Mono Lake Committee rallies volunteers to go out to the islands in Mono Lake to band California Gull chicks. The warnings to potential volunteers includes wearing grungy clothes, hats, glasses/goggles, gloves, etc., since the adult birds have no interest in having humans invade their colony for any reason, and will retaliate with "biological warfare" to defend. I missed an opportunity back in the early 1990s because I had a commitment that afternoon leading a camera walk for the Mono Lake State Tufa Reserve. I missed my opportunity to pitch in, to stay on task while being fought off by natural gull weaponry.
